Breakfast and getting a healthy start to the day are important parts of a healthy lifestyle. We hear this all the time. Studies are done, it is written about, breakfast is a huge topic at Weight Watchers meetings. Eat a healthy breakfast and eat better the rest of the day.
Even knowing this, and believing from experience, that breakfast is indeed a key to better longer term nutrition, sometimes breakfast becomes a forgotten meal. The excuses are many, all bad ones. You know the ones…time, time, and more time. Or lack there of. While working full time outside the house, breakfast was a rushed blur that coincided with getting out the door on time. Working from home, you would think that eating a healthy breakfast would be easier. Except that even then, you realize that you went from bus stop drop off to your desk without even pausing in the kitchen.
Healthy Breakfasts with belVita
The truth is that eating a healthy breakfast is not a hard thing to do. You just have to make time for it. In the past, my favorite easy to eat healthy breakfast items have consisted of Greek yogurt, a smoothie, an egg white scrambled in the microwave, or Mean Green juice. The newest addition to my healthy breakfast routine are belVita Breakfast biscuits.
Eaten on their own along side piece of fruit (the chocolate flavor is a favorite) or broken up and sprinkled into yogurt, these “biscuits” help you start the day feeling well nourished and full of energy. One of my favorite ways to eat the belVita Breakfast biscuits are after a workout or for afternoon snack when my daughter comes home and we catch up about her day, munching on healthy things before starting homework. Crushed into small chunks and sprinkled over yogurt and fresh fruit is deliciously satisfying.

They have been around in 23 countries and can be found (in the United States) in five varieties: Blueberry, Golden Oat, Cinnamon Brown Sugar, Chocolate, and Apple Cinnamon. As to my favorite flavors of belVita Breakfast Biscuits? Good question. At first I would have said chocolate. But….the blueberry biscuits are a very close contender.
